Following reports of contamination in mattresses by some hospitals in England, the MHRA of the British Ministry of Health now accepts that there is no manufacturing fault in Thermo contour mattresses as first thought.
A Medical Device Alert (MDA/2010/002) addressed to all hospitals gives new instructions for use for hospital mattresses made by all producers.
